Jake Robbins, Girder fork repair and restoration specialist and Head of Jake Robbins Vintage Engineering, has had a life long passion for motorcycles off all shapes and sizes.

This led to a career within the motorcycle industry. Starting out spannering on his own bikes this lead on to working on friends and family’s bikes.

He Then began working for a small local engineering company specialising in vintage and classic motorcycles, the company had started to specialise in servicing and repairing girder forks and classic motorcycle frames.

When the owner of the company sadly passed away Jake continued to grow the business, Mainly specialising in girder forks and classic bike frames.

In 2010 the business outgrew the small workshop it had originated in, Jake moved the business to a bigger industrial building allowing for continued growth and larger projects such as, production runs of castle forks and also developing the Retro Forks.

The extra space allowed the business to expand into new areas, such as TIG welding, CNC Plasma cutting, Motoliner Motorcycle frame straightening, bike restoration and general fabrication and welding work.

Jake’s eldest son, William, has been working alongside him from the age of 16 and together have built Girder forks and complete bikes for some of the worlds leading Museums, restorers, collectors and general motorcycle fanatics.
