Manx Norton plunger frame top and front tube replacement
Manx Norton plunger frame, we have replaced the front and top tube after cracks appeared in the top tube around the headstock gusset that had been added at some point in its life. we discovered the front tube was made up of three pieces brazed together with a gas pipe loosely inserted!
We sweated some of the damaged tubes out and re machined the lugs to size before fitting the new seamless tubes.. it’s a labour intensive job but made easier with a jig table to set everything up..#jakerobbinsvintageengineering #motorcycle #motorcycleengineering #framerepair #norton #hastings #vintage

Finished the dry build of the Clive Way/Chris Williams Scott racing rolling chassis..
Lots of time and graft has gone into this one, hand fabricated frame lugs coupled with bronze welded t45 tubes brought the complete frame in at 9.5kg.. a set of our lightened girder forks up front, a Roger Moss front hub with Triumph Jones type brake plates.. we are putting it into paint before it goes to its owner to have its new engine, gearbox and a set of exhausts fitted.. can’t wait to see it on the track.. #jakerobbinsvintageengineering #girderforks #framebuilding #motorcyclebuilding #scottmotorcycle #hastings #vintageracer
