Here at Jake Robbins Vintage Engineering its not all just about Girder Forks and frames. We also build Bikes, whether its an unfinished project, full restoration or just a wiring loom. If you need your bike project finishing off or you have a project you would like us to take on please get in touch. Check out some of the builds we have been involved with below.
Norton Jap
This bike came to us as a pile of bits, none of which matched.
It has a JAP 1320cc v twin fitted in a Norton 16h frame, which we stretched to suit the motor and give a nice, low centre of gravity. This bike was built to our customers specific requirements using modern components hidden within aged original parts.
It was recently featured in classic bike magazine.
Buell
This bike was commissioned by Andrew Almond, the owner and brains behind Bolt London. He asked us to create a cafe racer capable of touring Europe using his buell as a doner bike.
We designed and built the aluminium fairing, tank and tail unit. There was also extensive alterations made to the rear, including a new sub frame and an overhaul and relocation on the majority of the wiring loom.
Triumph pre unit
This little Triumph came in for a set of our retro forks, we also fabricated the sissy bar, mounted the seat, pad, tank and wheels. We designed a one off wiring loom. To keep the clean lines we mounted the switches down low and the speedo tucked in behind the tank.
